Pixel Pioneers Bristol 2024 Wrap-Up

By Oliver Lindberg27 Jun 2024News

On 14 June 2024, around 200 front-end developers and UX/UI designers of all kinds of skill levels came together for the 6th annual Pixel Pioneers Bristol conference. Here's all the coverage

It's a wrap! I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came to Pixel Pioneers Bristol on 14 June 2024 and collect all the coverage in one post. The photos are now up on the event page, and the videos for all the talks are currently being edited.

Every year the conference shows how vibrant the tech community is in the Southwest of England, but it's always wonderful to see that people are coming from all over to attend the event. This time we had people from Portugal, Germany, France, and even the US and Canada!

🙏 Thank you, of course, to our speakers who all did an amazing job:

🙏 A huge thank you also goes to our event partner 20i, our video partner TetraLogical, and to everyone who contributed to the fund for our diversity scholarships, which enabled us to invite a bunch of people from underrepresented groups in tech.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who helped me run the event on the day: Natasha Waldron and Tom May plus our volunteers Eriol Fox, Rabeb Othmani, and Priyanca 🌈. Your help made a massive difference!

🙏 A big thank you also goes to Adam Gasson for the photography. A few shots were taken by Adam Butler as well, who I teamed up with to host a special edition of Bristol JS before the conference. So thank you, Adam, and thank you, CareScribe, for hosting us and providing refreshments. And to Hannah Beresford and Tom Cartwright for giving a couple of great talks on the night!

🙏 Finally, thank you to everyone who has given me such wonderful feedback, both on the day and afterwards. Here are some recap posts I've come across:

Enjoy the photos and stay tuned for the videos of all the talks! And if you want to stay up to date about Pixel Pioneers, just subscribe to the newsletter. 🎉
