Diversity Scholarships

Our diversity and inclusion initiative

Our goal is to broaden the range of attendees. So anyone in an underrepresented or marginalised group in tech is eligible to a scholarship. This includes (but is not limited to): women, people of colour, LGBTQIA+ people, people with disabilities, people over the age of 50, new graduates just beginning their tech careers, people who are unemployed and people facing economic or social hardships.

To help members of these groups participate in Pixel Pioneers, we have a limited number of scholarships available, which are valid for a standard ticket giving you full access to the Pixel Pioneers conference day.

How to apply

To apply for a diversity scholarship, please send us an email, answering the following questions to explain a little about your story so far and why you would like to attend Pixel Pioneers Bristol.

  1. Who are you, and what do you do?
  2. Why do you want to attend the event and what in particular are you looking forward to learning?
  3. Why are you applying for a diversity ticket?

Before applying, please check you can definitely make the date (16 June) and that you're really able to attend. It goes without saying that your application will be kept confidential, and we will not publicly announce who the diversity scholarships go to (though you're welcome to say so yourself).

Deadline for applications: 20 May 2023

How to help

Even if all of the above doesn't apply to you, we still need your help: please spread the word and share this link on social media and pass it on to anyone or any communities you might know that would benefit from a scholarship.

Our diversity scholarships are possible thanks to the generous contributions made by our sponsors. If you want to get involved and lend your support, drop us a line. We are also accepting donations towards the scholarship fund on our ticket page.
