Pixel Pioneers Bristol 2017 will take place right at the harbourside in the heart of the city. We've put together a little guide to our venues, places to stay and eat, and other great things to see in Bristol. 

Our side event venue

The Web Agency Bootcamp, presented by Shopify and WeMakeWebsites, will take place at The Island

The Island is a studio complex, arts facility and events space, based in the Old Bridewell Police Station in Bristol city centre. It's part of the Artspace Lifespace community interest company that recycles vacant, underused and problem properties into thriving creative resources.

The vibrant hub for all things alternative hosts over 100 resident artists from the city's thriving, diverse scene, and boasts a circus school, artist studios, music studios, dance rooms and a beautiful gallery space.

Za Za Bazaar - Global foods in a massive restaurant and bar inspired by Asian night markets with big neon signs.

Woky Ko - Lovely little Asian diner around the corner from the M Shed, serving noodles and small plates, by MasterChef finalist Larkin Chen.

The harbour

M Shed – Our conference venue, the M Shed is the museum of Bristol, telling the story of the city over 2000 years through music, film, art and technology.

ss Great Britain - Take a step back in time aboard the ss Great Britain. Find out all about the ships history as one of the most important historic ships in the world in the Dockyard Museum, go beneath the glass sea and walk along the ship itself.

Ferries and boat trips eg http://www.bristolferry.com/ - Take a boat trip down Avon Gorge, River Avon and enjoy an evening sail to Beeses with live music and hog roast all included!

Stand Up Paddleboarding - Get started with a taster session or jump right in with a 2.5 hour long harbourside adventure with a qualified instructor.

The Arnolfini – A centre for the contemporary arts, the Arnolfini has regular performances of dance, music, film and other events.

Watershed - Watershed is a registered charity that focuses on the development of cultural engagement, imagination and talent. Enjoy a drink or meal in the watershed cafe bar followed by a film in one of the three cinemas.

Bristol Street Art Tours - Banksy is an anonymous British street artist and political activist with an international reputation. There are two tours looking at the history of street art and the longest running Banksy tour in Bristol.
